Raw Food and Diabetes
Thanks to all the people who sent me an e-mail letting me know what topics they would like to see in the Raw Glow Newsletters. I will do my best to cover all the topics mentioned; in the newsletters or on the Raw Glow Blog. If you would like to give me some feedback about what you want to learn just hit respond to this e-mail. Easy!
One of the most requested topics that people wanted to learn about was diabetes and the raw diet. I am happy to say that I have personally met people who have diabetes who have been greatly helped by a raw and/or cooked vegan diet. If you have diabetes I urge you to educate yourself and then work with your doctor closely. Here are some terrific resources that I recommend to anyone that is suffering with diabetes:
There is a Cure for Diabetes
This link is to Amazon to purchase the book There is a Cure for Diabetes: The Tree of Life 21-Day+Program. There Is a Cure for Diabetes lays out a three-week plan to reset the DNA through green juice fasting and a 100% organic, nutrient-dense, vegan, low-glycemic, low-insulin-scoring, and high-mineral diet of living foods in the first twenty-one days.
Raw for Thirty Days
This link is about an uplifting documentary about six Americans with 'incurable' diabetes switching their diet and getting off insulin as they go through The Tree of Life Program.
The McDougall Program
If 100% raw is not your cup of tea check out this link. This link is to the Doctor McDougall website where he has some great articles on the vegan diet and diabetes. He promotes a low fat vegan diet and his diabetic patients have had great results, you can also buy his book, The McDougall Program 12 Days to Dynamic Health.
